Complaining.

I love Music. I really do. Obviously, if I majored in it, but that is beside the point. But sometimes I wonder if I love it enough to study my ever-loving brains out, for a B. A "B". It's not even an A. I know some of you are thinking, well, it's better than a C. True. But you know what, I realized....C is better than a D. And a D is better than an F. And let me tell you something, friends, they don't give us 15 hours of D credit for nothing!

Ok, really. But sometimes I glance at my Study guide that is literally 15 pages long and I wonder. I know I wouldn't be happy doing anything else, but that doesn't mean I don't think about what it would be like if I had majored in something else. I am not ashamed to feel this way, and I think the reason I do is because I don't feel like studying. I know everyone has to study, it's college. But is it necessary to study for 24 hours, over 4 days, to hope for a B? I am a studier, really! I like to study. I like making good grades. But, still.

Just my thoughts. Carry on.

Life can change in the blink of an eye.

You always hear people saying that life can "turn on a dime" or "change like shifting sands", or life is "a series of adapting". I admit, it can be borderline annoying. But, don't you hate it when what "they always say" is right? You hate to believe that life could change in a few seconds. You hate to think that a car crossing a median could completely change a family. You hate to think that laying down for so long could cause pneumonia to an amazing grandfather. But life can change that quickly. But more importantly, if you don't watch it, life can change you.
Sometimes I find myself wondering how people cannot believe in God. I don't know who I would be in these trying times without his comfort and the avenue of prayer. God is there, and God is good. God is forever. And he is bigger than all the car wrecks, death, disease, pain and suffering. But not only is God bigger than all of that, but he cares enough to be there for us when these things happen. God does not allow things to happen to us, but rather he gives us the strength to get up in the morning and face all of the trials. Thank you God, for today.
