Get off your cell phone!

Driving in Dallas is quite interesting. People are crazy and just plain dumb. There are crazy drivers, bad drivers, and just really wreckless drivers. But to the already horrible driving, we add one awful, damaging thing. A cell phone.

Don't get me wrong, I love the cell phone. I talk on it....I text. I am down with the cell phone. But I do NOT talk on it when I drive. If I have to, I pick it up, tell the person I will call them back, and GO BACK TO DRIVING.

Driving recently, I can tell who is on their cell phones by their driving. They are the ones driving 55 and swerving. They are the ones going 60 in the fast lane. They are the ones driving half-way on the shoulder with their left turning signal still flashing. As I drive past them, I can see they are on their cell phone! And if its not a cell phone, it's a cigarette in one hand or a small dog in their lap. I mean really. Really? You might get in a wreck because you want your dog to see out the window? That is just silly.

Every once in a while, I am wrong. I say to my self "she is on a cell phone". And when I drive by there is not one...so I think "okay, just an idiot."

Yes, I still care.

My sister asked me if I was coming to Spring Sing to see her Miss Piggy show...and I wanted to, so we came. Ryan and I were due for a trip to Edmond, and Spring Sing weekend was the perfect opportunity. Plus, I wanted to come see Gamma and see old friends....and see Ryan yell during the "Kappa Snaps". So we went. Kelsey was adorable, the show was great, and I only missed being a part of it a little. (Really, only a little. I know. I was surprised myself.)

Two years ago, I directed my own Gamma show with the beautiful Amy Hubble. Two years before that, I directed the Freshman show with Joe Thurman. I know what it takes to be a director.....blah blah. I was really rooting for Gamma! Not just because I had been in Gamma....but because I could tell they had worked the hardest.

When they announced Gamma as the winners.....I think I peed a little. What a great moment! And my sister was up there! How perfect.

Love. It. :)
